My Review:

I first read this book about 15-20 years ago, but I decided to read it again whilst on holiday last month having found a follow up novel which I bought on paperback for 63p!

Although it is now a little dated it’s still an amazing and very clever book. You can’t help but like Tracey Whitney, she had it all then accused and convicted of a crime she didn’t commit she lands up in prison with people who are nothing like her.

Although she’s just an ordinary victim of circumstances, her strength of character helps her through the rough times and after her release from prison she vows never to go back there again.

She foolishly thought she could walk back into the job she had before her conviction, but when that job and any thoughts of getting a job elsewhere evaporate, Tracey hits rock bottom and vows to avenge those who have ruined her life.

Her clever scams and the way she rises to the challenges she faces and her incredible ability to think on her feet make this book a fabulously interesting read. Now I can’t wait to see what the follow up has to offer!
