I had hoped that this page might be a bit more interactive with people commenting and discussing books but so far no one has made a comment yet!

So I read this on another blog and thought it might be fun to try something new and I hope that some of you who read my reviews will participate and share your answers to these questions.

Currently Reading:

The All Souls Complete Trilogy By Deborah Harkness

A world of witches, daemons and vampires.

A manuscript which holds the secrets of their past and the key to their future.

Diana and Matthew – the forbidden love at the heart of it.

Seeing the adverts for Sky Tv’s new drama the Discovery of Witches, I was curious when it said that it was based on a book and wondered what the book was.

I downloaded a sample of the book and started to read it and soon found that I couldn’t put it down and ended up purchasing the trilogy and now I want to read it every opportunity!

Wow wow wow – The is the story of Diana who is one of the last witches of the Bishop bloodline and whilst doing some research for a presentation she recalls a book on Alchemy called Ashmole 728 only to find that the book is bound by a spell and her magic was able to unlock this spell.

Diana has always tried not to use her magic until this incident puts her at risk because Vampires, Deamons and other witches start to flock to Diana all wanting to know the secrets of this illicit book.

Diana meets 1500 year old Vampire Matthew Claremont and the two are attracted to each other even though they shouldn’t be, Matthew helps to protect Diana from the other creatures.

I’m addicted to this book already and I am desperate to finish it before the Sky TV series starts on 14th September – more on this book to follow when I finish it.

Recently Finished – Beneath this Mask by Meghan March

Former Navy fighter pilot. Son of a congressman. Successful businessman in my own right. With a résumé like mine, women have never been a challenge.

Until I met her.

This sexy, tatted-up bad girl wasn’t part of my plans, but that punch to my gut every time I see her tells me I have to know more.

She’s a mystery. An enigma. A challenge.

I’m going to figure her out—and then I’m going to make her mine.

We’ll find out what she’s hiding . . . beneath this mask.

I downloaded this book free on Kindle and because it was free and I hadn’t read anything by this author before I did not have high expectations, but I couldn’t have been more wrong!

I thoroughly enjoyed this book, it’s well written and it had me hooked from the very start, it’s the story of Charlie and Simon both hiding from their own issues, but their getting together forces them to face up to their past and deal with their issues before they can be together.

A fabulous read and it’s the first book in a series of 6. I plan to read the rest of the books once I have cleared my backlog of books! Recommended give it a try!

One Way – Jeff Lane

Barry Griffith doesn’t know it yet, but tonight is the night fate has chosen to be the night of his death… his murder.

At a gas station in the middle of nowhere, late at night, his wife Jenny appears… no car… no coat and looking older than when he saw her last.

That’s because this is not the woman he received a good-bye kiss from this morning.

This woman has been a widow for over four years and has made an impossible journey back in time to try to stop her husband’s murder.

Will they be able to escape the killers or does fate only have one plan… one possible outcome… ONE WAY?

The synopsis for this book sounds an interesting scenario and reminds me of the tv show where a guy goes back in time to try and prevent the assassination of John F Kennedy, so I am looking forward to reading this.
